[
]Painting Cycle to Follow!

Plan ? Prepare ? Paint ? Cleanup ? Maintain.

Wall paintings are an integral part of interior painting, and a fun way to accentuate your room. While it may seem a cakewalk to choose and embed a design for your room, but a lot of thinking goes behind sporting a look that talks about your persona. The design should invite positivity and instill a sense of belonging. Remember, the designs are gonna stay with you till your next renovation bumps. There are a lot of unique designs that can help you enhance the look and the overall appearance of your room. You can even decorate your kids' room with cartoons and other similar themes.

Before adding any of the designs to the walls of your room, you must use a basic color. There are certain rules of applying paint to the walls, even if you are painting them as a part of wall art, and these are as under:

For decorating a room, painting it with proper paint is a good as well as inexpensive option.

The foremost thing to do is to buy paint and get the right equipment needed to paint the room.

Select the type of color-latex or oil based. Latex color on the walls is easy to apply as well as easy to clean with soap. Therefore, many people prefer the latex color. On the other hand, oil color must be applied with due care as it requires turpentine to clean it off from the skin.

The next step is to decide the finishing of the color. There are four types of finishing, viz., gloss, semi-gloss, flat finish, and satin finish.

Next, finalize the color and more importantly, the shade of the color.

For applying the color, the right equipment (brushes, rollers, etc.) must be used according to the type of paint to be applied.

Wall Painting Design Ideas

For the Living Room

Choose warm or happy colors for coating the base. The theme that you choose for living rooms should be welcoming.

For the Toddlers' Room

The designing ethics for children's room call for a lot of color and cute stuff. INTUITIVE PAINTING MEDITATION TECHNIQUES - Milwaukee Metaphysical - 20 May 2015 14:08

Tags:

[
]Today I was discussing my process of intuitve painting with a friend over coffee and tea via video chat.

The conversatation prompted me to write a post explaining how I control what I like to call the fire mind of emotion with the water mind of intent which allows my intent in painting to be realized.

There are three steps that I use in meditation before starting an intuitive work. The first step is to stop and observe. This involves paying close attention to how thoughts arise and fade in the mind, and learning to let them pass like wisps of fog without clinging to any particular one. The way I do this is to let each thought come into being, acknowledge it briefly and then immediately let it go. I repeat this step until all thoughts cease. This develops awareness of the basic emptiness of all thought, as well as non-attachment to the rise and fall of emotional impulses. Gradually the intrusion of these thoughts cease arising for sheer lack of attention.

The second step is to observe and imagine which refers to visualization. I employ intent to visualize an image (such as buddha, a sacred symbol, the moon, a tree or whatever resonates within) in order to shift mental focus away from thoughts and emotions and stabilize the mind in one-pointed awareness. Sometimes I may also visualize a particular energy center in my body or listen to the real or imagined sound of a bell, gong or cymbal ringing in my inner ear. This point of focus is not important. What counts is shifting the focus of your attention away from idle thoughts, conflicting emotions, fantasies or other distracting antics of the mind and concentrating attention instead on a stable point of focus established by the "mind of intent" or "wisdom mind."

The third step in cultivating control over the mind is called using the mind of intent to guide energy. When the emoitional mind is calm and the breath is regulated, I focus attention on my internal energy. I have learned (through practice) how to guide it through the Chakra network in order to energize and raise creative energy from the sacrum to the head to nourish spirit and mind; and also to exchange stale energy for fresh creative energy from the external sources the universal creation/creativity energy.

I begin by focusing attention on the root chakra then moving energy from there up through each chakra along the spine centers (base, sacral, heart, throat, third eye) and into the crown chakra, after which attention shifts to the upper fields which I leave open to the creative energies of the universe.. and here is where I start to paint.

Although it may sound a bit time consuming once you have practiced guiding your energy and opening yourself to the universal creation/creativity energies it becomes like second nature. Sometimes I will chant a creative Mantra when the energy hits the crown of the head: Har Haray Hari Wahe Guru and then I begin to paint.

"Har Haray Hari Wahe Guru" translates as "All aspects of the creator are bliss." This mantra expresses the three qualities of the word Har (seed, flow, completion) It is the Shakti mantra that uses the primal force of creativity to rid one of obnoxious situations in life and can bring you through any block and opens up your own creative energy!

If you would like to pursue your own meditative practices with your art check out Milwaukee's Shambhala Art below.

Shambhala Art is art that springs from clear perception and pure expression. To artist or non-artist, the creative process often seems mysterious and magical. The Shambhala Art Program's purpose is to explore the creative process and the product we call art from the point of view of clear perception and pure expression. It is about the source of inspiration, how the creative process manifests and finally how what we create communicates that inspiration.

http://www.examiner.com/article/intuitive-painting-meditation-techniques

[

Now, that you know the Striae technique, this should be much easier for you to do. Basically, you do the exact same thing you did in the Striae. It's just when you pull your brush down on the first stroke, you slightly jiggle it. So, as you are Striaeing, you are going to have a controlled stroke that you are going to go really slow and jiggle. This board is already been prepped for having the first step done because the finish that has to be done in two days you can't do in one day. So, it's one layer this way, and then the other layer is going the other. On a wall that doesn't mean you are going to go vertical then horizontal. So, if for some reason, you thought horizontal was going to be easier. You are more than welcome to do horizontal and then vertical. I just sometimes think vertical is easier to do first.

Here are some finishes so that you can see what the finish already done would look like from a radical looking kind of color to more typical. I do live in a conservative area so I do tend to have a lot of conservative looking samples. So, anyway the same thing, you brush the glaze, now in the opposite manner and I probably shouldn't turn it so that it makes it more realistic for you. So, you brush and you pick out stuff that gets in your paint. A lot of pets will leave fur all over the house so depends on whether the client cares or you care whether or not, you have pet fur on your painting. I do have clients that had a couple of Golden Retrievers, and I couldn't get the pet fur out of what I was doing, as my life depended on it. So, that's embedded forever or at least till they paint again.

Anyway, so once you get the whole board, you can already see how it's starting to work because you can already the cross hatching lines. You will take your brush and then again you are going to —this one is taking off too much. You may have to adjust pressure or put more on in the first coat. So, anyway, if brush will cooperate with me, your brush will tend to separate with time as you get it wetter and you use in your room, you will find that there will be times where you have to totally dunk it into your water. Totally re-clean it, get a dry towel, and wipe it off, just so that you can get the consistent look throughout the room.

Anyway, you just keep slightly pulling. You want to waver it just a little bit because you don't want it look perfect. You want it look a little more fabricusk and that helps to make it look that way and actually and actually I kind of like this color today. So, that's good for me. Anyway that's that finish. So, anything else is pretty much the same. You may need to wet the walls again, you may not. You can play around with it, and see how fast the drag goes. If it slides this easily, then good, if not go back in reference the Striae or remember what tips I gave on the Striae so that you can it to work well on the horizontal fashion as well as the vertical. That's it for this one.

Related Articles

Faux Painting Guide - How to Do the Linen Technique

Store Bed Linens Properly

One technique that you can use is to rotate the linens from time to time.
